Easton's stuff Geek, coding and other madness....

Ideas

I just added a bunch of modules to 2500mhz, so I should be getting some more traffic (and perhaps money).
I turned 'Developer mode' on in Mobile Safari on my iPod touch, I don't know why I didn't turn it on sooner. I found out what was going on in my HTML pages and CSS's. Maybe this weekend, I'll fix up MailX Mobile, Server Stat and a mobile Wiki.
Now that basketball is over, I'll be sure to get into my 'productivity mood' now. The top thing on my list is to work on WorkSimple (which needsafixin').

Sunday

I've been busy with things lately but now since basketball season is over, I'm sure I'll be more productive. Anyway, I'll try to work on Server Stat(demo) a bit today then probably release it.

It's about time I get my dead server up and running, I've just been procrastinating. Anyway, I'm gonna do a little maintenance on my servers, then go work on something.

Oh, by the way, does anyone want the MailX script I made? It lets you mail other members, sorta like a private messaging system. There is also a iWebKit version of it too. Comments are appreciated :D

Server Stat

There's an app in the AppStore called Server Database. A pretty simple app, made to manager servers and such. Enter the name, address, function for the server and you're good to go. Well, I decided to make my own version of it using iWebKit. You can check it out here. Its pretty simple, it's read only for now. I'll wrap it up in a tarball and put it on the 'Free PHP Scripts' page.  Anyway, just though I'd share that.

I haven't been up to much, other than creating useless PHP scripts. Just been browsing the LovingTech forums.... Well, I'll get to coding and such....

Log server/firewall

Flippy, my webserver which died back in December/November-ish has been sitting my desk, lifeless. So, I decided to turn it into a log server and firewall (running Debian, of course). I'll post some pics and specs later on.
I was looking into getting a switch (over a hub, which I have now). I think it would greatly improve my network performance (A D-Link DES-1024D 24 port 10/100).

Anyway, I haven't made any money with AdSense or PayPal donations, so that sorta sucks....

Refernece Wiki

I modified one of my own wiki scripts to conform with iWebKit to make a reference wiki. I was inspired by a PHP reference app in the AppStore so I decided to make my own (sorta). In short, you search for a function and view the correct syntax, etc... Sorta pointless but time consuming
Our team might go to the Provincials which is in March sometime
Anyway, Friday tomorrow w00t!

And the plot thickens....

Ah!

My ISP phoned today, two times. I've been going over my monthly bandwidth cap every month, so I could understand that they are mad at me. Back in November, I went to 120GB's that month. January, I was at about 80GBs (60GBs is my cap).

I half put up an ad to sell Torrentino. I just don't have the time to maintain it anymore. Its come a long way since October 3rd.

Comments are appreciated :D

My first userbar!

I just made my first userbar in GIMP!

Update: Here are some more!

Money

I haven't made much money at all with AdSense. I have it on this site (2500mhz.info, filevault.info/) and Torrentino. From October to about early December, I earned about 20$ CAD and its been pretty stagnant since then. Not sure what I'm doing wrong; maybe more visitors or something.

I had a basketball tournament Friday and Saturday, got home around 21:00. Did a clean sleep of the whole tournament, won all of the games and even the 3 point and free throw contest.

Anyway, I haven't done much all day, watch a couple movies. I still haven't fixed flippy, my web server, which as been down since December-ish.

iWebKit

While reading the Loving Tech, I discoverediWebKit. Whats iWebKit? Well, in a nutshell it gives you tools to create a bridge between a mobile website and a iPhone/iPod Touch App. What does this mean? You can make some beautiful websites, easily. For a demo click here. Anyway, I made my private messaging system (which I codenamed 'MailX') a nice little conversion using iWebKit. Check it out here. Its not completely finished, but it works! So grab your iPod or iPhone and check it out!
