931GB's.....

is what my 1TB external HDD ended up to be. I formatted it to NTFS, but still, no change. So being me, after I transfered everything to it I thought; why don't I partition it so I can get the whole 1TB? Well, I'm just too lazy to take everything off and partition it. I'm missing, atleast, 70GB's. In other events, WorkSimple 1.0.2 Biomass will be released either tonight or tomorrow. There is numerous bug fixes and new features.WorkSimple 1.0.2 just released, see http://geekness.eu/node/25 I'll get back to working on WS... Gee, I wonder if anyone is _actually_ reading my blog.

WorkSimple 1.0.2 Release, Biomass

Progression of WS (WorkSimple) 1.0.2, codenamed 'Biomass' has been going good. I have fixed the Theme changer, allowing each theme to have its own directory. Some of the code for the control panel has also been re-written. An admin nav bar is in the works. Also in advancement is the install; which has also been semi re-written. Another big development [next] will be a modules API, allowing anyone to create modules for WS. Icons and custom templating will be available soon, as well as the ability to change blog title, tagline etc... Favicon support too. And again, heres is the link to the overview

and the link for to download: http://2500mhz.info/node/25 WorkSimple 1.0.2 should be released either today (21) or tomorrow (22). Anywho, I sorta destroyed my FreeNAS server errr somehow. I just put in a larger hard drive, to add on to it, but it just wont work. I tried booting it and it will boot whatever the harddrive has on (Easys [Linux] or XP). Now, come to think of it, I never checked the jumper pins.... I messed around in the BIOS for a while and still nothing. Its like I never even installed FreeNAS onto it. I was frustrated so I gave up.....till tomorrow.

WorkSimple 1.0.1 release

I've been working on WorkSimple for the last couple hours, I got the admin control panel mostly figured out. I've even added tabs for writing a post and changing themes (which is possible now without edit a file :D ! ). I still have quite far to go still. Anywho, I need some of my 'energy coffee' then I'll get back to work/having fun.

WS is for working simple.

Edit: I just released WorkSimple beta 2 here http://geekness.eu/node/22 I still haven't set on a data structure yet. I have code to: 1. Have one master file (almost a database) and store all of the posts or 2.Have seperate files (according named 1.txt, 2.txt etc....) I would think that one file (1) would be the easiest to manage too. I'll wrap this version of WS up and upload it.

I read an interesting story over at /. today:http://hardware.slashdot.org/hardware/08/08/11/0317209.shtml
Atleast I don't have an iPhone,, although I do have a decent PocketPC;http://www.cellphones.ca/cell-phones/utstarcom-6700/
I even got it to act as a monitor using Sidewindow(http://www.innobec.com/index.php?page=sidewindow).

Anyways, I haven't done much doing in the last couple days, even though I should work on WS(http:/geekness.eu/cms/ & http://geekness.eu/node/22) I have quite a bit to do too, most notably fix the blog module, since it orders them backwords, as in oldest -> newest. I'm still not very sure whether to call it a blog or a CMS. I personally think it is more of a blog, since a CMS is more of a whole system, it is just one...thing.
On that subject, I'm not sure about my data structure yet. Since the method that I am using (using dates as filenames), writing a post in the CP is quite easy. But now I have the task of ordering them....backwards.
My adventure continues....
